Doris Williams awarded BEM in New Years Honours - Sat 30 Dec 2017

We are delighted to announce that Doris Williams, one of the NACís longest serving members and a respected Vice President, has been awarded the British Empire Medal for Services to Choral Singing in the North East.

We send her congratulations from the National Officers, and I am sure from all member choirs as well. Doris is an incredibly hard-working lady, the mover and shaker behind many of the massed choir concerts at Newcastle City Hall and The Sage in Gateshead, as well as being the Musical Director of both Newcastle Male Chorus and the Gibside Ladies Choir. This is an honour which is very well deserved indeed.
