Mendip Male Voice Choir Heads for South Wales - Fri 19 Sep 2025

For the first time since before the Covid 19 Pandemic, Mendip Male Voice Choir will be going on a weekend tour this September. The Mendip Men will be joining Cowbridge Male Voice Choir and Taff Ely Ladies Choir at concerts on 19th and 20th September.
The concert with Cowbridge Male Voice Choir on Friday 19th September will take place at Llantwit Major Leisure Centre, Ham Lane, Llantwit Major CF61 1TQ, near Cowbridge in South Wales at 7.00pm. The proceeds will support Llantwit Major and Cowbridge Lions Club and the evening promises plenty of choral variety, with both choirs performing individually before joining together for the finale. The following evening, the Mendip men will join the Taff Ely Ladies Choir at St Peter’s Church, Dinas Powys, CF64 4BY, between Cardiff and Barry, again starting at 7.00pm. The Taff Ely Ladies Choir sings from a wide-ranging repertoire including contemporary and classical pieces, while the Mendip Men will sing a selection from its recent series of summer concerts. Tickets are available from Ticketsource at £10 per ticket.
“The Mendip Men are excited to be going on tour again”, said Musical Director Kate Courage, “We always used to travel to join forces with other choirs pre-Covid, so I am thrilled we have managed to resume this lovely tradition and we are very much looking forward to wonderful Wales! It's a great way for everyone to get to know one another better and strengthen the bonds of friendship, as well as have a lot of fun, and create musical memories that we all share.”
