Richard and Adam launch appeal for local singers
to join them on stage in their UK-wide tour
The boys also announce their Special Guest Stars
Sophie Evans and Nicholas McDonald

Following their debut sell-out tour playing to over 15,000 people and wowing the nation with their extraordinary harmonies on Britain’s Got Talent,
sensational Welsh singing brothers Richard and Adam are next month embarking on their second 19-date UK national tour.
And today the boys are launching an appeal for local choirs to join them on stage as part of the show. “We are looking for choirs with between 20 and 30
singers,” say Richard and Adam. “It could be a school choir, a local gospel group or even a group of singing pensioners. Show us what you’ve got! We
got the idea from a concert we performed in Wales before Christmas when we sang with a guest choir for the first time - and it worked incredibly well.
We need the successful choirs to join us on Can You Feel The Love Tonight? from The Lion King and they will also get chance to perform one of their
own songs.”
From Liverpool to Southend via Edinburgh and Cardiff, the tour is taking in most areas of the UK (full tour list attached). Choirs who want to be
considered are asked to post a video of them singing to Richard and Adam’s Facebook page or send it in by email to
Richard and Adam are also announcing that their special guest for the tour (at all venues except Edinburgh) will be Sophie Evans, the beautiful 21 year old Welsh girl who made her West End debut in the leading role of Dorothy in Andrew Lloyd–Webber’s new production of The Wizard of Oz at the
London Palladium. Sophie was runner-up on the hit BBC competition Over the Rainbow. Sophie has since filmed two of her own Christmas TV specials
for BBC Wales in 2012 and 2014 and has performed at the BBC Proms in the Park. She made her film debut in The World’s End with Simon Pegg in
2013 and recently appeared in the acclaimed comedy Pride with Bill Nighy and Imelda Staunton.
Special guest at the Festival Theatre, Edinburgh on Sunday 1 March will be X Factor runner up Nicholas McDonald from Motherwell. Nicholas first
impressed judges, including Simon Cowell, at the age of just 12 in 2009 when he was part of Britain’s Got Talent. He was a student at St Aidan’s High
School in Wishaw when he started off on the journey of a lifetime and auditioned for The X Factor in 2013. Mentored by Louis Walsh, he came second
to Sam Bailey in the live final. After the show, he signed with RCA Records and released his Top 10 debut album In the Arms of an Angel in March 2014.
He has started work on his second album.
Richard and Adam’s success on Britain’s Got Talent was quickly followed by the stunning success of their debut album The Impossible Dream which
shot to the number one spot in the album charts, where it spent four consecutive weeks at number one, making it the longest-running number-one
album of 2013 in the UK. It went on to sell over 300,000 cds in the past year.
These much-anticipated live dates follow the Top 10 success of their new album, Richard & Adam at the Movies. Richard & Adam will perform many
of their favourite silver screen songs and theme tunes including such memorable numbers as Somewhere from West Side Story, Moon River from
Breakfast At Tiffany’s as well as Nessun Dorma and Be My Love by Mario Lanza. There will also be some of their biggest hits from The Impossible
“We are so thankful for the opportunity to embark on our second UK tour," they said. “We have had the most incredible year, and look forward to
starting 2015 performing to the amazing fans who continue to support us. We had a fantastic time performing on The Impossible Dream tour and we are
looking forward to presenting the wonderful selection of songs from our new album. We are really excited and cannot wait to perform live once again.”
Richard added of his love of the cinema: “It’s one of my biggest passions in life besides singing. Since I can remember I’ve always loved going to watch films and I’ve always loved the soundtracks from films. Now we can’t wait to sing them live across the UK!”
