‘Not Only a Choir, More an Extended Family’
Concert in Aid of Prostate Cancer UK
Last year, The Pye Hill & District Male Voice Choir celebrated its 120th Anniversary. In May the choir toured the Durham area and provided two highly successful concerts at Beamish Museum to near capacity audiences in a ‘living museum’ experience. This is your opportunity to have a wonderful evening’s entertainment. Why not bring family and friends and make it a social evening to remember. If you have not been to a concert by the choir before, you will be surprised what you are missing!
This is a special concert not to be missed, helping to raise awareness of Prostate Cancer. We would love you to be part of this evening!
This is a free concert, but if individuals wish to make a voluntary donation, this will be passed direct to Prostate Cancer UK.
A wonderful evening of entertainment and fun is promised with a diverse range of amazing choral songs and solos by talented singers. The evening will feature five Musical Directors, four of which have led the choir over the last 30 years.
The concert celebrates 30 years of singing by Dave Braithwait with the Pye Hill & District Male Voice Choir. Dave knows from personal experience how important it is to raise awareness of Prostate Cancer and has previously raised £12,000 for Prostate Cancer UK with the support of family, friends and the local community. The choir are proud to support Dave who is a leading choir member, soloist and entertaining ‘Master of Ceremony’.
You can expect to hear a broad range of songs - choral classics and favourites, songs from the shows, contemporary music, talented soloists, and humour; something for everyone.
Highlights in recent years, include singing at York Minster, Derby Cathedral, Albert Hall - Nottingham, tours to the Lake District, Surrey, Norfolk, Devon, South Wales and Isle of Wight, amongst others.
