National Association of Choirs Structure
The association was formed by choirs to give them a collective voice and representation in matters that concern them. Where as this role has expanded considerably into a full support function the National Association of Choirs is still driven by its members. Non voting Associate Membership is also extended to individuals and companies that have a shared interest in promoting choral interests.
The Officers
Officers of the NAC are all directly involved with the choirs. They bring a wealth of experience to the function of the NAC which they give freely and voluntarily and for which the reward is the satisfaction of helping choirs and moving the NAC forward. Officers directly incurred expenses are reimbursed. Giving so much, it is understandable that most Officers are retired – although working members are not precluded and are welcome to stand for election to office at the Annual General Meeting. All of the current Officers bring with them a wealth of experience in business, management, education, industry and commerce. The Officers are the Trustee’s of the association and as a Registered Charity are responsible to the membership.
