- PERSONAL BIOGRAPHY
- Eric is currently musical director of the 102 strong U3A choir and NAC advisor to Yorkshire West NAC Group. He is still performing as a ‘Cello soloist at concerts.
- Formally Eric was Head of Huddersfield Music Centre and Area Music Co-ordinator for North Kirklees . He has also had a lifelong interest in stringed instruments and has repaired and valued instruments for over 50 years.
- He is married to Sandra who is a singer with Huddersfield U3A choir and Marsh Ladies Choir, they have three sons who all have very high qualifications on the various instruments they have studied.
- He welcomes the change of officer role after 14 years as editor of News and Views. In his new role he is answering many queries from choirs and choristers about arranging, copyright and performing rights. He is also hoping to develop the festivals part of the post more fully.
- Music publishers are sending many scores for review and he is using his musical skills to give informative information on new music. He welcomes enquiries from NAC members and finds it a pleasure to help and talk with fellow choristers.
