An exciting Benslow innovation tutored by Julian Williamson, this choral course takes place in the idyllic surroundings of rural France, in and around the village of Azat le Ris in the Haute Vienne. Sessions will take place at the home of Benslow’s Head of Music, and we have engaged a superb local chef to prepare light lunches and four-course dinners for you (included in the course fee) which will be served in the village hall, starting with dinner on 9 August and ending with lunch on 13 August. We hope to be able to give an informal concert in the ancient village church at the end of the course and generally to involve the villagers as much as possible! We can provide information on accommodation in the locality and on how to get there from the UK via air, rail and road. However you will need to book your own accommodation and make your own travel and insurance arrangements. Travel and lodging costs are not included in the course fee. Please note that you will need the use of a car (available for hire at the airports and stations in Poitiers and Limoges) and to sign an indemnity waiver agreement releasing Benslow Music Trust from responsibility in the case of illness or accident while on this course or travelling between locations.
We need a minimum of twenty applicants to make this course viable. Please note that the last date for booking is 9 May, by which time the full course fee is payable. If we do not have sufficient applicants by that date we reserve the right to cancel the course and will refund all monies paid. Please ensure that you make your travel arrangements in good time.
